Our Story
Ignite Healthcare Solutions was founded by Rebecca Shufeldt in January 2022. With over two decades of combined industry experience, Rebecca and her consulting team possess a deep understanding of the complexities within the healthcare sector.
Having spent more than 12 years dedicated to providing consulting services, our team brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every client engagement. Many of our team members previously worked at athenahealth, providing them with unique insights and a deep understanding of the challenges healthcare organizations face.
At Ignite Healthcare Solutions, we are passionate about empowering healthcare organizations to navigate these challenges confidently and successfully. Through our exceptional consulting solutions, we help our clients optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and ultimately enhance patient care.

Rebecca Shufeldt founded Ignite Healthcare Solutions in 2022. Having worked in healthcare consulting for the past 19 years, she understands the most important part of providing a solution is to outline it in a digestible format that aligns with the client’s goals.
Starting as a medical assistant over 15 years ago, Rebecca has worked in multiple facets of healthcare. From working at the front desk to being the Director of Operations of an Urgent Care MSO, she understands how important all work streams are in the financial success of a healthcare organization.

Katie Zimdars comes to Ignite with several years of hospitality and administrative experience.
She is skilled at streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and facilitating strategic decision-making to support senior executives in achieving their organizational goals. Drawing from her rich background as an operations associate and community manager, Katie brings a deep understanding of the crucial role that business organization plays in ensuring executives can deliver a seamless experience to you when working with Ignite.

Michael Shufeldt

Michael Shufeldt has been part of the Ignite team since its inception in 2022. He concurrently serves as Principal at Xcellerant Ventures, a healthtech focused VC fund, and as an A-10C Fighter/ Instructor Pilot in the Idaho Air National Guard.
Michael’s diverse skill set includes exceptional leadership abilities, refined through experiences in the military and in business. As a strategist and tactician, he possesses a profound understanding of the nuances of decision-making and planning. Additionally, he has expertise in financial modeling and analysis, which he leverages as Ignite’s CFO.

Amanda Van Cleave
Director of Consulting

Amanda Van Cleave comes to Ignite with 18 years of healthcare experience. She started out in the industry working for a family medicine provider while working on her bachelors degree in Neuroscience and her masters in Healthcare Administration. She then spent two years working at Tufts Medical Center in Boston before joining athenahealth where she worked for 13 years. Throughout that time she specialized in onboarding, training/curriculum development, project management, practice management, consulting, workflow optimization, and staff augmentation.
While Amanda is well versed on all aspects of athenaOne, providers and clinical staff hold a special place in heart. She loves to watch the lightbulb go off when they discover something new or find a resolution to a problem. Creating an environment where providers can do what they do best – treat the patient – without distraction, is what drives her. The EMR should be a tool in their arsenal to help them as they provide care, not an extra burden for them to manage.

Anne Frazer has over eleven years of healthcare IT experience. Her background is grounded in implementations, onsite project management and customer success management.
She believes technology has an appropriate time and place throughout all stages of the patient cycle. Billers, providers and support staff alike can all learn to use technology to be more productive, allowing them to be more effective in caring for patients

Kristin Taylor

Kristin Taylor has thirteen years of experience in healthcare as a provider, consultant, program manager, and director of product operations. A former athenahealth implementation project manager, she has 9 years of experience with AthenaOne and has deep knowledge of clinical workflows, integrations, data migrations, reporting, and revenue cycle.
She is passionate about providing tailored solution designs for complex workflow needs. She has led over 30 multispecialty full lifecycle software implementation projects for organizations ranging from 10 – 300+ providers.
Having been on both sides of software implementation as a client and a vendor, Kristin utilizes a partnership to approach implementations with a lens for strategic change management.

Kayla enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess needs, design efficient processes, and customize EHR systems. Her focus on user-centered design results in improved productivity and increased end-user satisfaction. She has experience ranging from privately-owned small practices to multi-specialty nationwide organizations.

Jenna McGuire has over 15 years of experience working with various healthcare organizations as the Revenue Cycle Management lead. With the belief that a successful revenue cycle department begins with the Front Desk, she's dedicated to evaluating current processes and creating new workflows throughout all stages of the patient visit.
Having extensive experience as the Director of Revenue Cycle for an Urgent Care group, Jenna specializes in high-level reporting and diagnosing problem areas while also analyzing the more complex and intricate areas of the Athenaheatlh platform. She has a passion for creating robust RCM Training/Onboarding programs and workflows, tailored to any revenue cycle topic and job function.
Jenna is known for being meticulous, driven and thoughtful with her recommendations and goals while also approachable and personable, allowing her to easily connect with all team members within the organization and helping them reach their full potential within their role.
